Surrey’s Natural Areas Partnership SNAP is finalizing the 2019 team and planning projects for the summer. Is there an area in Surrey that you think could benefit from SNAP’s Invasive Removal or Habitat Restoration team? Please let us know at info@greentimbers.ca. It can be anywhere in Surrey.

At the museum this month
The Museum of Surrey hosts a monthly exhibit series that features a single object from Surrey’s Heritage Collection. This month, in celebration of Earth Day, it’s the wooden bowl turned by the late John Tompson. The bowl was donated in 2017, made from the fallen Douglas Fir at Green Timbers.
Surrey Clean Sweep: Sunday April 14
Let’s meet at 10 am at the Surrey Nature Centre and work until noon. We should have bags and pickers and that sort of thing. Fun fun fun!
You’ve probably already heard, but the light rail from King George to Langley has been shelved in favour of SkyTrain. Translink would like your opinions on how that should look, and what your concerns would be. There’s an online survey and a pile of open houses. Please take the time to do the survey and attend at least one open house.
